The floating LNG import terminal would service major districts ofWest Bengal, including Purba Medinipur, Paschim Medinipur, Burdwan, Hooghly, Howrah and Kolkata

Development of a dedicated Container Terminal at Diamond Harbour on the eastern bank of river Hooghly has been recommended by a high-powered committee, set up by the Government of India. The estimated project cost is around Rs 1530 crore

A unique, 2000-acre industrial township is being set up at Andal, near Durgapur. Known as Sujalaam theSkycity, the township will integrate India's first private greenfield airport at Andal with dedicated industrial and residential zones

The Amritsar-Delhi-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (ADKIC) will be aligned to the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) and will span 20 cities in the seven states of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. The ADKIC also proposes to leverage the existing Highway system on this route, and the Inland Waterways System being developed will connect the National Waterway grid
