| JSW Bengal Steel
|
|
|
JSW Bengal Steel has proposed to set up 10 MTPA Steel Plant along with 1620 MW Power
Plant along with 1620 MW Power Plant at Salboni in Paschim Medinipur with proposed
investment of Rs 35,000 crore. Till date the company has 4472 acres of land in their
possission.
The phase-I has a proposed investment of Rs 20,000 crore with target production
of 3 MTPA steel, 300 MW power with captive coal mines. The main construction will
begin by November 2011 and first phase to be completed by March 2014.

| Matix Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited
|
|
M/s Matix Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited has proposed to set up its Urea project
at Panagarhj Industrial Park in Bardhaman District for setting up of la 2200 MTPD
Ammonia Plant and 3850 MTPD single stream llUrea Plant. The anchor industry has
been allotted 498.49 acres of land in the park.
The proposed investment for phase -I is Rs 5,000 crore and Rs 6,000 crore for phase-II.
They have already started their construction work. The commercial production of
the company is expected to start by March 2012.

| Mahabharat Motors
|
|
|
A motor cycle manufacturing plant has been set up at Uluberia in Howrah District
over an area of 63.90 acres. This is a joint venture project between Salim Group
of Indinesia and Dalerna Limited (Universal Success Group of sistance from TVS Motor
Company Ltd.
The commercial production commen ced in September d2010. The capacity of production
is 1,20,000 per annum with a proposed investment of Rs 105 crore. Till date Rs 89
crore has been invested for the project.

| Aerotropolis
|
|
|
An airport city is coming up in the Dlurgapur Asansol region in Bardhaman District.
He estimated project cost is Rs 10,000 crore and is expected to be completed by
2015. Total project expenses incurred as on March 31, 2011 is Rs. 266 crores approx.
The project will be implemented by BAPL and requires 2180 acresof land for Phase
I, out of which 1818 acres has already been handed over.

During the year 2010-2011, proposals of ten industries were placed before the Expert
Committee on steel and Allied Industries (ECSAI) and the committee has recommended
the proposals of the following six steel industries:

| M/s. Rashmi Metalliks Limited is going to set up 2 MT Integrated Steel Plant at
Kharagpur in West Midnapore District.

|
| M/s. Laxmi Steel Industries (P) Limited is going to set up 0.48 MT Integrated Steel
Plant at Neturia in Purulia District.
|
|
|
|
|
| M/s. Bengal Energy Limited is going to set up 0.5 MT Integrated Steel Plant at Kharagpur
in West Midnapore District.
|
|
|
|
|
| M/s. Onkar Ispat Limited is going to set up 1 MT Integrated Steel Plant at Kharagpur
in West Midnapore District.
|
|
|
|
|
| M/s. Super Smelters Limited is going to set up 1.1 MT Integrated Steel Plant at
Jamuria in Burdwan District.
|
|
|
|
|
| M/s. Badrinarain Alloys & Steel Limited is going to set up 0.4 MT Integrated Steel
plant with 25 MW CPP at Kulgachia in Howrah District.
